Yesterday, I made my first trip to the OBGYN. That was a little uncomfortable....
Janelle had gone a couple of weeks ago when she had a little pain (but everything was okay). But this was our first scheduled trip -- the initial "we're pregnant" trip. The doc did an vaginal ultra sound, and we got our first look at our little one! Sure, it was basically an alien-like blob, but we could see a heartbeat. I must admit, it was pretty cool.
They gave us three photographs to keep; said to hang it on the fridge. I think they might just play into Saturday night, when we tell the parents. I guess we'll see in a couple of days.
So far, so good...and scary as hell. But it's going to be fun!

David being a little uncomfortable was an understatement! I don't think he moved the entire time he was in the exam room until we told him to stand up so he could see the ultrasound machine screen.
